The Breakup Playlist: The Awesome Nerd Version

Two weeks ago, I watched The Breakup Playlist. It’s a movie about love and forgiveness through music. But since I’m just on a 15-minute break from work right now, I won’t be able to give you a detailed summary.

Instead, here’s my own version of The Breakup Playlist.

So, you’ll know. . .#thefeels.

I never saw it coming. Enough said.

THE SCIENTIST by Coldplay

Nobody said it was easy – knowing “The Scientist”, that is. It still gets me, tho. Every single time.

GOODNIGHT MOON by Go Radio

Not too long ago, I wholeheartedly believed in forever.

LIKE WE USED TO by A Rocket To The Moon

I still think about how we used to be. But with a smile now. . .unlike before.

It’s okay not to be okay. Note to self, as always.

How about you? What’s your version of The Breakup Playlist? 🙂

Raveolution 2015: Neon Utopia

First and foremost, HAPPY 78th ARAW NG DABAW!

But before today, there was 03/14/15

Dubbed as “the first and biggest paint festival in the Philippines“, Raveolution 2015: Neon Utopia proved to be more than just a rave party. It also presented an awesome mix of music, culture, and people.

Here are the highlights to this epic event:

1. VIP TICKETS

Allowed us to have 1 free drink. Sadly, we hated the taste of this drink. Also allowed us to have access to the elevated areas, the wet areas, and most of all – what we were most excited about, the PAINT GUNS!

2. PAINT CANNONS

Wet areas. Three paint buckets. Three cannons firing at us every 30 minutes. However, it seemed like they were firing saliva and slime at us every 30 minutes.

3. PAINT GUNS

The ultimate Neon Utopia highlight! Shoot here, shoot there, shoot everywhere. Yes, that’s what we did! Needless to say, we finished off our paint gun turns with a bang – entirely drenched.

4. THOSE DAMN NERDS

5. DEUCE MANILA

She’s sexy, she’s energetic, and she’s pumped up the party in us! Scratch that, she’s simply AMAZING! I’ve never heard of anyone mix music like she did at the event.

Overall, we had another awesome night. Enough said, hashtags. #RaveolutionPH #UniteinColor #VIP

My Eyesight Is Really That Bad

“Black and blue or white and gold?”

Such a simple question, don’t you think?

NOT!

There’s this new trending topic all over social media. Unfortunately, everyone is freaking the heck out – myself included.

I woke up this morning with this BuzzFeed (@BuzzFeed) article on my newsfeed:

Anyway, I read the article. . .blah, blah, blah – and since it was a poll, I just voted on “WHITE AND GOLD“. Because, hello? I saw white and gold, simple as that.

Boy, was I wrong.

CORRECT ANSWER: It’s actually “BLUE AND BLACK“.

I was like, mind-blown. BIG TIME!

Scrolling on my newsfeed, I found other BuzzFeed articles. . .

THE DRESS IS BLUE AND BLACK?!

ME: (THINKING) My eyesight is really that bad?

Further research on my part led me to another article, inevitably concluding this mind-blowing mystery of the month. . .

Untitled3

THE DRESS IS BLUE AND BLACK – PERIOD.

There’s only one thing I’m sure of now: I’m not the only one with a bad eyesight. Ha!

What Awesome Looks Like

In a world where people are constantly watching out for a WORTHY live-action adaptation of their favorite anime series, nothing has made me more excited than @RobotUnderDog‘s DragonBall Z: Light of Hope.

Honestly speaking, I’m so speechless.

It’s because watching this “fan-made, yet God-like” tribute to the greatest anime series of my childhood is just like watching box-office hit movies of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is WHAT AWESOME LOOKS LIKE. . .ENOUGH SAID!

What I’ve Been Waiting For

“What happened to Cameron Briel?”

I’ve always wondered about him.

2009: I fell in love with a dark-haired, green-eyed reform school boy.

2010: I swooned over a gold-winged demon.

2011: I knew more about losing someone you truly love.

2012: I cried over the pain of not knowing what happened to him.

2015: I moved on from the ultimate story of love, friendship, and sacrifice.

It’s also been three years since I completed Lauren Kate’s best-selling book series, Fallen.

For those who are completely clueless about Cameron Briel, he was introduced in the first book as a fallen angel who crossed over to side with Satan. But for me, he was a demon with a hopeful heart – to find someone worth fighting for, namely Lucinda Price.

Described to be a dark-haired boy with emerald green eyes, it was love at first sight for me – or rather, read. Charming and cunning as he is, Cam captured my heart in a way that most book characters have never done before.

And now, a piece of good news from an amazing author like Lauren Kate (@laurenkatebooks) made me want to fall in love with Cam all over again. . .

FINALLY!

As for me, it’s time to re-live all the beautiful moments I’ve had with this book series. ❤ ❤ ❤

Carte Blanche 2014: Cake And Beer Edition

One word: AWESOME!

Carte Blanche 2014 simply left me and my friends both breathless and energized. As someone who spends most of her time reading books and watching TV, it was such an exhilarating experience for me to enjoy something that I normally would not – let alone, with three of the most awesome people I’ve ever met this year. 😉

But as of writing this post, I’m seriously laughing my head off with those moments that I think made a mark on us. Okay, let’s make that for a long, long time. . . 😀

Here are the top two things that hilariously happened during the rave party:

1. FLYING CAKE

I just couldn’t imagine how a chocolate cake made its way to the partying people. More specifically, on my friend’s face and on his shirt. Good thing, he got a cool black shirt from one of the DJs!

2. BEER SHOWER

We were so wet, with beer. Nevertheless, we still enjoyed dancing, jumping, and bumping into other people – with beer showering all over the place every 20 minutes. Need I say more?

BONUS: THAT GUY

We didn’t even get to know his name. That cute, chinito guy right by the stage – just as we were making our way back to the liquor area. 😥

The colorful stage, the cool playlist, and the energetic crowd. All in all, we had a wonderful night – minus the #exproblems.
